This policy covers Old School Cider House at 9302 Eastview Lane, New Kent, VA 23140, and the pages on this website. It does not cover a service you open from a link here, such as online ordering or a social network. Those sites have their own policies.
What you can send us
The contact form asks for your name, email, phone if you add one, and a message. We keep that note so we can reply, and we email a copy to the house.
The jobs form asks for the work you want, the schedule you can work, when you can start, pay if you name it, your name, email, phone, address, work history, and references. Date of birth and Social Security number are on the form if you choose to fill them in. We use an application only to consider hiring you. A Social Security number stays with that application and is not used for anything else on the website.
Buying an event ticket asks for your name, email, phone, and how many seats. The card payment is handled by Stripe. We keep your name, email, phone, the event, the amount, and a ticket code so we can let you in and send the code to that email. We do not store the card number.
Ordering and gift cards
Order online and gift cards open Toast, not a checkout on this website. What you type there is collected by Toast under their own rules.
The cookie this site sets
A session cookie keeps a form from being submitted twice and holds an error message so you can correct it. It lasts until the end of the day, is not readable by scripts on the page, and is not used to advertise or to follow you across other websites. We do not sell personal information.
The web server may record the address of the computer that asked for a page, which page it was, and the time. We use that to keep the site running and to look into misuse.
The public website uses Google Analytics to count which pages are opened. Google sets its own cookies for that measurement. We use the counts to see how the site is used. We do not sell that information, and this tag is not used to advertise. The manager and the working copy of the site do not load it.
Who else sees it
People who work the house see messages, applications, and ticket orders when they need them for that work. Email goes out through our mail service. Ticket cards are charged by Stripe. Online orders and gift cards are handled by Toast once you leave this site. We do not give the list to advertisers.
How long we keep it
We keep a message long enough to answer it, an application long enough to hire, and a ticket record long enough to run the event and keep the receipt. You can ask us to correct something, or to delete a message or an application we no longer need for a hire, a paid ticket, or a record the law tells us to hold.
Children
This website is not aimed at children. You must be 21 to buy or drink alcohol at the house.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. The terms of use cover using the site.
