Paws & Pints Halloween @ Old School Cider House

Bring the whole crew — costumes encouraged — to Old School Cider House for Paws & Pints. From 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 17, we’re hosting a Halloween dress-up contest for people and their pets, plus adoptable animals, raffles, and a full afternoon on the grounds.

The New Kent Humane Society and the Charles City Animal Shelter will be on site with pets available for adoption. Come meet them, ask questions, and see who might be the right fit. Monetary donations are welcome, and 10% of food sales that day will be donated to the shelters. There will also be raffle baskets and more ways to pitch in.

Dress up and enter the costume contest — people, pets, or both. Leashed, well-behaved pets are welcome. Food will be served from the new Magnolia Hall, pup cups will be available, and live music will run through the afternoon. Crisp ciders will be on tap if you want to settle in and stay awhile.

It’s one of our favorite community days of the year: a simple Saturday, a little Halloween fun, and a real chance to help a local animal go home.

*The event is rain or shine. Magnolia Hall is open in case of rain.
